Founded in Australia in 2020 and based in the Illawarra, New South Wales, Mankind emerged not from trend, but from trial ~ the outcome of years spent perfecting every detail. The approach is deliberate. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is replicated. Each product is developed in-house with uncommon precision. Formulas that perform, textures that adapt and finishes that feel like skin. No compromise. Just what works.

At Mankind, we don’t simply adapt what already exists. We observed that most makeup available to men was never designed with male skin or male users in mind. So we created what was missing: discreet, functional products purpose-built for how men actually live and wear them.

The rationale is practical. Male skin is typically thicker, more oil-prone and subject to different daily wear than female skin. Yet most makeup available to men is simply adapted from existing women’s lines. Rather than repurposing what already exists, Mankind was created to address these differences directly ~ controlling shine, maintaining longevity and ensuring finishes remain natural and undetectable throughout the day.

Equally, the experience matters. Many men are open to using makeup, but less inclined to engage with products positioned exclusively within a traditional beauty framework. Mankind exists to offer a considered alternative: straightforward, refined and purpose-built, so confidence comes from performance, not presentation.
